You might want to change yours. You may not want to know about the things you'll read on these pages, about the sauce, about Korrok, about the invasion, and the future. But it's too late. You touched the book. You're in the game. You're under the eye. The only defense is knowledge. You need to read this book, to the end. Even the part with the bratwurst. Why? You just have to trust me.

The important thing is this: The drug is called Soy Sauce and it gives users a window into another dimension. John and I never had the chance to say no. You still do. I'm sorry to have involved you in this, I really am. But as you read about these terrible events and the very dark epoch the world is about to enter as a result, it is crucial you keep one thing in mind: None of this was my fault. 


Bueno pues esta vez realmente no se por donde empezar. Esta novela es un poco extraña, es lo que en la jerga que uso con mis amigos llamariamos bastarda o mejor dicho drógica(droga+lógica) porque hay veces que tiene tan poco sentido que logra tener sentido.

Pues esta novela escrita por David Wong, que resulta ser también el protagonista, nos narra las aventuras que vive junto su mejor amigo John Cheese como resultado de consumir una droga llamada "salsa de soja" y las cosas que viven son graciosas pero muy locas, así que si el camello de vuestro barrio os dice: 'eh hermano ¿quieres un poco de salsa de soja?'(insertar voz de camello al leer) o si encuentras en una fiesta a un jamaicano que levita y lee mentes intenta huir antes de que te convenzan cualquiera de los dos.

La historia se divide en 2 libros, el primero trata sobre el descubrimiento de la "salsa" por parte de David y John y su aventura en las Vegas; el segundo es sobre Korrok.

No se que mas decir sobre la historia sin hacer spoiler así que hablare sobre los personajes intentando no desvelar mucho sobre la trama.

Los personajes principales son:

David Wong: un tipo de unos 20 pocos al que parece no gustarle la gente en general, es normalmente algo cobarde pero sabe echarle huevos cuando hace falta, es un tio algo extraño y con pensamientos bizarros.

John Cheese: el mejor amigo de David y de unos 20 pocos que está bastante obsesionado con su miembro, suele tener una ideas un poco extrañas y unos planes absurdamente útiles(los míos son más absurdos en algunas ocasiones).

La forma de escribir del autor me ha gustado, hace que el libro resulte ameno, además de incluir muchas frases geniales como:

"Fuck all of you,” John retorted. “You don’t even exist. We’re all just a figment of my cock’s imagination.”

“Keep driving," said a soft voice in my ear. "She will not bite if you keep driving."

"Fuck that. Fuck that idea like the fucking Captain of the Thai Fuck Team fucking at the fucking Tour de Fuck.”

“Fred whispered, “Okay. If I don’t come back, and say they don’t got my body, like if Justin eats me or somethin’, tell everybody you don’t know what happened. Make it mysterious. And then a year later spread rumors that you’ve seen me wanderin’ around town. That way I’ll be like fuckin’ Bigfoot, everybody claiming to have seen me here and there. Legend of Fred Chu.”

"Good-bye, Molly, of all The dogs i've known in my life, I've never seen a better driver"

"She was a strung-out, crank-addicted cannibal dabbled in vampirism and shamanism. My mon, she worshipped some major devil when I was a toddler. Blew her welfare check every month on black candles. Sure, Satan would do her favors now and then, but there's always a catch with the Devil. Always a catch."

"Are you familiar saying with the old human saying “I want to shoot you so bad my dick’s hard?” "

Pues para terminar, el libro me ha resultado divertidísimo y genial, me encanta el tipo de humor que tiene. Algunas cosas que dicen en el libro me han hecho volverme realmente loco incluso llegando a comprobar algunas cosas por mi mismo, como que cuando dormimos y estamos en un sueño y nuestro cerebro nos despierta con algo que estaba ocurriendo en ese momento en el sueño. No sé si entrará dentro de fantasía urbana o ciencia ficción, así que sea lo que sea entra en mi canon y lo recomiendo a aquellos que gusten de un humor con un toque absurdo y unos protagonistas un tanto raros.
